"Pressure point in French oak parquet — visibly repair, not replace."
A pressure point caused by a piano move. Replacement would be simple but expensive and visible (different colour tone). Our restorer ironed the spot wet, sanded it down finely and sealed with original oil. Invisible — but better than a new strip.
